Standouts

Name | Thoughts |
---|---|
Jonard | If my hunch is correct, this is an early example of parents combining two names they like (Jonathan + Gerard in this case, perhaps) and giving the result to the baby. This style of name will become more common among Filipinos born later, but in this batch (likely born in the 60s), he stands out. |
Tammy | Yes, that's how his name is spelled. I'm guessing that his parents saw it as a variation of Tommy, unlike Americans who might remember the Tammy films and think, "girl." Or maybe it's short for Tamerlane. Who knows? |
Numerical Suffixes
Seven (8.14%) men had numerical suffixes attached to their names. Of these, five (71.43%) were Jr, one (14.29%) was III, and one (14.29%) was IV.
